ACT Chapter Seminar: Wednesday 30 November
The ACT State Chapter will hold a seminar on Wednesday 30 November 2011 at 5:30pm at the ANU College of Law in Canberra. ACT Chapter Seminar - 13 May 2008
The ACT Chapter of the Australian Labour Law Association and the Industrial Relations Society of the ACT held a seminar on Tuesday 13th May 2008 at 5.30pm. Professor Katherine Stone, Professor of Law at the UCLA School of Law presented on ‘The Future of Employment Law in the USA’. Professor Stone is a leading expert in labour and employment law in the United States. She was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship Award in 2008 and a Russell Sage Fellowship for 2008-2009 for her work on the changing nature of employment and the regulatory implications. ACT Chapter Seminar - 10 September 2003
The ACT Chapter, in conjunction with the Centre for Commercial Law, held a forum on 'Executive Pay' at the Australian National University Law Faculty. The main speakers were Senator Ian Campbell, Parliamentary Secretary to the Treasurer since 2001; Senator Joe Ludwig, Parliamentary Secretary to the Attorney-General; and Dr Michael O'Donnell, Senior Lecturer at the School of Management and Policy, the University of Canberra.

The ACT Chapter, in conjunction with the Industrial Relations Society of the ACT Inc, hosted a forum on 'Future Workplace Regulations' at the Australian National University. The forum was opened by Commissioner Barbara Deegan, Australian Industrial Relations Commission. Speakers were Senator Santo Santoro, Government Member, Senate Employment, Workplace Relations and Education, Legislation and References Committees; Dr Craig Emerson MHR, ALP Shadow Minister for Workplace Relations; Senator Andrew Murray, Australian Democrats' Workplace Relations Spokesperson; and Senator Kerry Nettle, Greens' Workplace Relations Spokesperson.
ACT Chapter Seminar - 25 March 2003
The ACT Chapter held its inaugural meeting with Professor Hugh Collins of the London School of Economics speaking on 'The Evolving Direction of European Labour: Social Inclusion, Competitiveness and Citizenship'. The meeting was held at the Australian National University Law Faculty. Copies of Professor Collins' paper can be obtained by contacting ALLA's administrator (law-alla@unimelb.edu.au).
